Docraft Goodies cards

After getting my Docraft goodies in the post and with all this horrible wet weather after I had made a card order I had a play with Wellington. The papers are lovely colours and match perfectly, the stamps are gorgeous too and are a good size to use. The sentiments are mainly geared towards male cards but then Wellington is perfect for that too. There are a few sentiments that you can use for anyone as you'll see in my pics. I made a general one first with a great sentiment and then the second was more for the girls. I would recommend the stamps they are fab.

Also here are a couple of other cards that I had made in between doing my Kanban cards.

Docrafts Facebook giveaway !!

Wow had an email yesterday to tell me I had won the Facebook Docrafts Giveaway Prize.
The prize was some Wellington goodies, and all you had to do was say what you would make with the prize. I said I would use them to make pictures for a child's room and also the bear in the chair would make a great men's card. Anyway Docrafts have been super quick as the postie delivered them this morning !!

So that's me off for a play today I think especially in this horrible weather.
I've also got a card order to make and another card design for Kanban.

Here is a picture as well of a card I finished off yesterday, using several parts of kits from Hunkydory, Glimpse of Glamour, Foiled Flowers and Spring Elegance for the Butterflies.

Hello again !!

Wow we're back to Monday again already, where does the time go ?? Well here is my new batch of Kanban Designs for this week, hope you like them.
The first one is a stamped rose card STAMP04, this image is gorgeous and the stamps are so crisp and clear, I coloured the rose in using promarkers, I also used as a background the Calligraphy Rose-Pink CRD1453, I used one of my border punches to create a lace effect, with a strip of ribbon, once coloured in I mounted the image onto silver mirri card.

I attached more ribbon to the left hand side of the card with a bow, also some Bling GEM5mm at the top right to give it a bit of sparkle. Then the sentiment was stamped and I used pink ink just to blend a bit of colour and then it was mounted on silver mirri and placed in right hand bottom corner.

The next card is another rose card using a Tea Rosa Lilac PCT2148 topper, with Fancy Floral Lilac Background CRD1787, behind the topper I wrapped some ribbon around one of the Ornate Flourish Milk Chocolate Lge Torn Edge Toppers PCT2338 then just a few pearls were added PRL5mm to finish the card off.

Next we have a card for the men,  using a shaped Kanban blank I covered  it with Mackenzie Clockwork cream CRD1774, inking the edges with sepia ink , I took some Taupe scroll Kandi Core CRD1820 and embossed it with a clock embossing folder that I had in my stash adding a small black clock from a Mackenzie time sheet PCT2243.

I used a border and topper from the Copperfield sheet PCT2120, wrapping some string round the card , before placing the embossed sheet and then the topper on the card, I also placed a couple more clocks from the Time sheet behind the main topper.

The last project I made as an extra was a small gift box using two sheet of Roses & Calligraphy CRD1517 as the top and bottom of the box, I then wrapped two colours of ribbon round the top half of the box before adding small toppers from the Beautiful Accents sheet PCT1957 onto three sides of the box.

For the flower on the top of the box I used a flower and two leaves from the Victoriana Lace Flowers sheet PCT1894 adding some Bling GEM5mm to the centre and curling some gift wrap ribbon underneath.

This weeks Kanban Designs

Onto this weeks designs which were put on Kanban's facebook page on Monday. I made three this time and really enjoyed making these, it's great to dive in my goodie box and see what I can come up with.

I made this one as an easel card, these toppers are so regal. I used a Kanban card blank for the base, then covered the top part of the card with Swirl Quilt Stitch-cream double sided card CRD1813 and used a strip on the bottom of the card as well, I used two strips of decorated card from the Regency Butterflies- black sheet PCT1918 and the Baroque Cameos PCT1926 placing one on the base and the other on the main part. I took a topper from the Regency Butterflies and attached to the card raising the centre part up. From the Cameo sheet I took two sentiments one for the top of card and the other as a stopper for the easel, I also used three small circles with crowns on, finally some Diamonds on the top right corner DPS5mm and a strip of ribbon had been added to one of the strips.

This is my favourite card of the three I made for this week. The card blank is covered with some Roses and Calligraphy card CRD1517, I die cut a leafy swirl from some gold mirri card. The topper which I wrapped with ribbon and the sentiment are both from the Beautiful Birds sheet PCT1955, the flower, bird and butterfly are from the Chelsea Elements sheet PCT1950.

The next card I really enjoyed making, it's more of a fun card with the lady just peeking round. I first took some 8x8 black card from the Fruit punch Block to use as the card back and covered that with the maroon card, after scoring two sheets of A4 card to concertina shape I then used a wavy cutter to make them slope, they were then cut down to fit the back panel. Part of those were covered with Simply Fabulous Burlesque Lace background CRD1699.
I attached a panel from the Catalina Frames beige & black PCT2202 to the centre of the zig zag shape, attached some red feathers and the put a panel from the Simply Fabulous Sassy Scarlet sheet PCT2193. On the next panel of zig zag's I added two chairs from the Mackenzie Studio topper sheet PCT2240. The sentiment is from the Simply Fabulous Sentiment sheet PCT2196, I threaded some ribbon through each end then punched two buckles from gold mirri card , threaded the ribbon through and attached to the card.

I hope you like them, there will some new Kanban Designs added again next week. xx

Kanban Designs

Thought I would give you some more information on what products were used for my Kanban Designs.
The above card has paper from The Bloomsbury Collection as the background, the frame is from The Ornate Flourish Lavender small torn edge paper toppers PCT2333, the two butterflies are from the Victoriana Lace Butterflies sheet PCT1891, I used my own sentiment and ribbon and the just added some pearls PRL5mm onto the centre of both butterflies.

This next card I enjoyed making as it was a style of toppers that is a bit different for me. I used Simply Fabulous Gilt Damask background card CRD1698 as the base card, I used two different colours of 8x8 Kanban block of fruit punch card to make the semi circles, sandwiching a black feather between the two different colours, I then added a topper from The Delphine Papercraft toppers PCT2121, added a sentiment from The Safari New Home sheet PCT1404 and finished off with some diamonds from the Diamonds and Pearls pack, DPS5mm.

My first Craft Fair

Well today I did my 1st craft stall at a craft fair run by the local council. Got set up ok and everything on the stall in time, but unfortunately I don't think they had advertised it that well as was quite quiet most of the day with people just coming in batches. I managed to recoup the cost of the stall back plus a bit extra, mostly thanks to people I know buying and my sister in law, thankyou all !! Got another one booked at the end of May so hopefully that may be a bit better, although on the plus side I made friends with the lady next to me who was selling biscuits.

In between getting ready for that I have also managed to get my Kanban cards done and emailed off, as promised here are pictures of the ones from the week before.

Have a good weekend everyone xx

Catching up time !

Well seems ages since I have been on here, Daniel tends to hog the computer when it's school holidays and if I try to use it he then goes off and gets into mischief !!!!!!
Busy week with the kids, and also the excitement of receiving my goodie box from Kanban.
We met with some friends over weekend  and went on an Easter egg hunt yesterday.
I've also been trying to get everything ready for the Craft fair at the weekend. Hannah kindly donated some of her spare Moshi Monster cards and Match Attax so I could make some childrens cards to put on the stall, so that's what i've been making today, along with a card for Kanban ( which I will reveal another time I promise !!)

So that's been my week and weekend so far, and i'm looking forward to the Craft Fair at the weekend as well, should be good I hope. But most of all i'm looking forward to getting on with designing for Kanban.

WOOOHOOOO very exciting news !!!

Wow am so excited, at the end of last year Kanban put out a call for UK design team members, you had to submit at least 5 projects, and they wanted cardmakers, stampers and scrapbookers. I unfortunately don't do scrapbooking but entered the others. They wanted only 6 people so competition was going to be stiff.
Heard nothing after the deadline passed in January so assumed I hadn't made it, then there was an item on Facebook saying that it had been delayed, and then last week I got an email saying i had been picked !!!!! So excited, it's for 6 months and you get sent a box of goodies :-) . In the end they have picked 10 people, I can't wait to get started, soooo exciting !!!!!

On another note here is a card I made over the weekend for the sketch challenge over on Docrafts.
