We have some great challenges and sponsors lined up so we hope you can join us all on this exciting new venture.
We also have a Facebook page, so you are able to keep up with the news from there if you wish Crafting Musketeers Facebook Page , and if you don't have a blog and wish to join the challenges you can then post your entries into the dedicated albums for the challenge on the page.

Hope you can all join us , we are looking forward to seeing your projects. xx

Meet Parker

Hi all just a quick post from me today, feel a bit lost not doing my DT cards for Kanban anymore , so I thought I would make a quick card and post it.
The image is one that I won from the Facebook group Stamping Dragon Designs , they had posted the image of the pig and asked for a girls name for it and a boys name. The names they picked won the image. I named him Parker and won, it's a fab image and can be made more masculine like I have or if you prefer it can be made feminine. Hope you like him, I think he's rather cute ! x

Anyway hope to see you soon, and thank you for looking today xxx

Here is my card for the challenge.

I've made a different shaped card than my usual cards just to make it stand out a bit more, but made it nice and simple as well.

The challenge this week had been sponsored by Di's Digi's  , who have kindly donated a $10 voucher for the winner.

A sad day for crafters

Hi all, just a quick post for now with some sad news for crafters.

" The Director's of Kanban Crafts http://www.kanbancrafts.com/uk/index.php are sad to report the closure of the business. They would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to all their customers for their support and loyalty over the years. On a personal note, from the design team we would like to wish Karen and Keith lots of love and thank you for the opportunity you gave us all as part of your fantastic team. We wish you good luck and success in the future. Love from the Kanban Design Team XXX We would also like to add that unfortunately the challenge is also closed too. Thank you for those that had already participated and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused. XXX "

It is a very sad day indeed, on a personal note I would like to say thanks to Karen and Kanban for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a great Design Team for the last 11 months, I had never applied for any DT's before and this was my 1st one, I have enjoyed it so much and will always be grateful for you taking me on, we've had a great team over the last year and I have made many new friends, and I love all my team mates.

Signs

Hi all, it's Saturday again so it's time for my Kanban projects, I say projects this week as I've made something other than cards. This week I have made some signs which can be hung on doors, they are only made from card but they are still quite sturdy.
I've made them from the Cool Britannia Collection and also the Safari Boudoir Collection.

This first sign has been made using the Cool Britannia Collection. I used Kanban Navy card for the base of the sign, I used 2 pieces back to back so it was strong. To decorate it I have used Cool Britannia Navy Gingham card 900181, Union Jack Bunting toppers 900173, London Icons-Transport toppers 900176, and I then die cut some letters from some Kanban Swiss Dots Embossed card.

This second sign has again been made using the Cool Britannia Collection. The base of the sign has been made from Time For Tea Background Card 900216, and to decorate it I have used toppers from the Cool Britannia Tea Toppers sheet 900169 and the Celebration Cupcakes sheet 900170. I used a strip of Cool Britannia Navy Gingham card 900169 for mounting the letters on again cut from the Swiss Dots card.

This last sign has been made using the Safari Boudoir Collection. The base of the sign is made from Safari Wallpaper-Mocha card CRD1220 on the reverse of the sign. On the front I have used Animal Print -Leopard card CRD1221, and then decorated it with toppers from the Safari Bathtime sheet PCT1400 and the Safari Boutique Leopard sheet PCT2224.

At the moment you will find the whole Safari Boudoir Collection available to download, for a great price of £9.99 from Kanban's new site Kanban Digital Crafts , it's worth having a look at the site to see what else is available.

Have you been over to the Kanban Blog yet ?? We have started a fab new monthly challenge on there, this one runs until the 3rd April and you could be in with a chance to win a Kanban Goody Bag. All you need to do is make a card or project following the theme and to use Kanban Products, this month's theme is "Anything Goes" , we hope you can join us in the challenge, why not pop over to the Challenge Page on the blog and have a look at what the design team have created to give you some inspiration.

Dragon's , Dragon's and more Dragon's !!!

Hi everyone, I have been having a relaxing day today  colouring in some digi images, as you will have seen from one of my February posts , I purchased some fab dragon images from Stamping Dragon Designs , I used one for my son's 12th birthday, as he loves dragons. I am also doing this post as an application for the Design Team for Stamping Dragon Designs.

So I thought today for a chill out I would colour some more and make them up into cards ready, as we have some our nephews birthdays at the end of the month. Can't go far wrong with a dragon !

I've done 3 for the boys and just for a fun and different card, I made a wedding one, hope you like them.

I thought I would show you the wedding one first as I think this has got to be my favourite, it was nice to get away from the traditional wedding cards and make a more fun one.

The dragon's are great for the boys, teenagers and even the men, and it's something a little bit different.

Just a little bit about myself, I'm Fran and I've been crafting for about 8 or 9 years now, I first started by making my own Christmas cards and it has just snowballed from there. I have 2 children who are 12 and 9 , the 12 year old has severe autism , so crafting is my way of relaxing after a stressful day !!! I am on the design team for the Kaboodle Doodles Challenge blog, I use some digi images on there and also I am the design team for Emma's Crafty Challenge, I have previously been on the Design Team for Kanban.

I love crafting with toppers and stamped images but now I've discovered digi images there is no stopping me , they are fab .

I would love to be on the design team for Stamping Dragon Designs as I love the images and would love to be able to create different projects with them.

Thankyou xx

Bags galore !!!

Afternoon everyone , just a quick post from me this afternoon, just wanted to show you something I have been working on that's not related to papercraft !!!!

These pictures below show my 1st and 2nd attempt at making a bag, the cat one is a little wonky on one side, but by the second one I have got that sorted.

The fabric that I have used is lovely and I got it from a company on Facebook called Patchwork Paradise , they have some great fabrics and are very quick sending it out.

Once I get loads better at sewing with the machine I shall be adding them to my Facebook page Fran's Crafty Makes .

A bit of a mix !!!

Hi all, it's that time again on a Saturday when I blog my DT cards for Kanban, this week I have gone for a mix of old and new kits.

For this set of cards I have used some of my older kits. For all three I printed out some background paper from the Female Backgrounds CD4 ,  and the toppers for the top card are from the Coffee Shop sheet PCT9904, and the other 2 cards I have used toppers from the Cupcake Elements sheet PCT9384.

For these next two cards I have used the So Macho Collection set 2 .  For the card on the left I have used toppers from the For The Record sheet 900812, a topper from the Retro Classics sheet 900828 and the background card is Taupe Music Candi Core card CRD1821.  For the card on the right I used Revolution Bronze background card CRD1736 and toppers from the A True Classic sheet 900814.

Thank you for looking. I have linked up products where I can  from the Crafted By You  website, which is a new retail division from Kanban, you can now also use their other new site Kanban Digital Crafts where you can find a back catalogue of older kits to purchase and download.

*********** Also keep an eye on the Kanban Blog as on the 4th March, a new monthly challenge will be starting , with a set theme for each month, and a chance for you to win some Kanban Goodies. All the Design Team will make a project for the challenge to help give you some inspiration. So we really hope you will be able to join us, and have a go. we look forward to seeing your projects.*********************
